PI TAYLOR
Lacrosse
Lacrosse has always been a massive part of my life: I started playing when I was seven
years old, and my love for the sport has only grown fonder over time. I was and still am
drawn to the warrior aspect of the sport. Nothing is better than preparing for battle with my brothers. In 7th grade I was drawn to the faceoff position (FOGO) because I had quick reflexes. But as I grew in the sport, I found a love for the dog fight at the Face-off-X. I was also drawn to the leadership part of the position: directing my wings depending on the situation and giving signals on the fly is exhilarating. Though the FOGO gets plenty of playing time, it usually does not garner large amounts of fame. My goal in the game is to give glory to my attackmen by getting them the ball to provide them with the opportunity to score. This suits my personality. I made varsity as a sophomore; and as a team, we went undefeated and won the State Championship
